Stewed Steak - Haché

A hearty meat dish. For 4 servings

  • 750 gr stewing steak
  • 25 gr dripping
  • 25 gr flour
  • 500 ml stock
  • 300 gr onions
  • tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 bayleaves
  • 4 peppercorns
  • tablespoon Worcester Sauce
  • pepper and salt

Cube meat and slice onions. Brown onions in the fat. Blend in the flour. Cook for a few moments and slowly pour in the stock. Bring to the boil, add meat, bayleaves, peppercorns, Worcester sauce, vinegar, pepper and salt. Simmer for one hour, adjust seasoning and serve with root vegetables or cabbage.
